Hamfests and tailgate swap meets hosted by local Minnesota amateur radio clubs serve as vital gathering hubs for operators throughout the Upper Midwest.
Events feature commercial equipment vendors, tailgaters selling vintage transceivers and antennas, technical forums on digital modes, and Volunteer Examiner (VE) license testing sessions.
These gatherings strengthen community ties among local clubs and provide essential funding for maintaining community repeater infrastructure and emergency response trailers.
