Using Amateur Radio in the classroom is a proven and effective way to teach electronics, physics, and radio theory while aligning with Minnesota state and national educational objectives.
With support from the ARRL Education & Technology Program (ETP), educators across Minnesota are building foundations of wireless technology literacy for students through hands-on radio kit construction, satellite communication tracking, and weather balloon telemetry experiments.
Integrating ham radio into middle and high school curricula fosters technical interest and introduces the next generation of engineers to public service communications.
